Hi all,

I'm still desperately seeking farmers to complete a quick online survey for my PhD research. It's really important that as many people participate as possible as we will be informing policy with the results! The survey is about the advice you've received surrounding water pollution and whether or not you'd be willing to pay for advice in future (e.g. from CSF officers).

Upon completion you will also be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher of your choice, so this is definitely worth doing!!

Please share this link widely, I cannot reiterate enough how important it is that farmers give their opinions so that future policies consider what farmers think! Please consider spending 10 minutes today making a difference to the future of farming advice :)

Many thanks,

Charlotte

Can you just explain why you think CSF officers won’t be a free service (they are only allowed to visit high priority farms) when the CSF funding budget has been ring fenced by Defra?

I’m not saying it will necessarily no longer be free, it’s just an example of a currently free advisory service. I’m exploring general willingness to pay for advice and I’ve used CSF as my example as I am studying water pollution. Hope that answers your question!

it ask where I am from in England, but I am in West Wales

Hi, we are currently only looking for farmers in England, it should explain that on the informed consent page. Apologies if you’ve filled it in, if you put ‘prefer not to say’ we may use your answers somehow anyway; I’ll speak to my supervisors about this tomorrow :)
