Quicke softride behaviour

Ok I've replaced my quicke leader suspension accumulators..... again.

Question; when the suspension is switched on after you've been lifting weight, should it spring up when the valve opens?

I think the lock out valve on mine has been plumbed into the lift side of the rams, not the drop/compression pipes.

I would normally just go to another loader and check, but the suspension on every quicke loader I know of in the district doesn't work

Mine springs up when turned on.
Had an issue with the 3rd service pipes that fell apart and leaked
Who in quickie thought it was a good idea to fit those stupid push in couplings wants their arse kicked

If you havent got any attachment on at the time, they normal lift up a bit. I think last quicke accumulator was £120. And the later ones inside cross beam are a pig to change,as the push fittings they do take a bit off working out, not many places keep them in stock, when pipe goes:(

The accumulators I sourced are from Parker hydraulics, roughly £90 each filled.

They're not the Hydac sealed units quicke fit, and the filling valves make them a little longer, but they fit.

The design spec differential pressure across them is supposed to be a maximum of 8 fold. Tractor pump pressure is 200 bar meaning the accumulators should be a minimum of 25 bar gas pressure.

The accumulators quicke fit are filled to 15 and 22 bar :banghead:

If it's jumping up slightly the issue will be your lock out valve/solenoid. It's passing when you've got weight on the loader and storing the pressure in the accumulator then when you unlock it the pressure is being released and this causes it to jump up.

For future reference people, if you have any pipes go that plug into the valve block with them poor push fit fittings.

You can remove the valve block side fitting and just fit a BSP fitting. Job done.

hi, ive put an accumulator on a quickie loader, plumbed it off the block with a t , up going to the lift pipe and accross to a pipe to accumulator with a tap, think my accumulator is too big as it s a 2 litre bosch one which a mate bought in a job lot as found it , sure they worked it out to 3000 psi pressue, tried it today and nothing happened, still rock solid , is it too strong ???

We had the Chiana made one fail twice. Changed it for Bosch from Hydraulic Supermarkets. They set the pressure @ 20 bar (I think), It can take up to 60 bar so well within capacity.
Will not fit in beam but made a bracket & its been good for 4 years.
Also cheaper than Quickie product.
