Quitting a job

Anyone directing a lot of vitriol/verbal abuse and profanity at another person in the workplace is out of order- lets get that clear. Everyone has had a dressing down from someone somewhere in life, I'm not denying this or suggesting it is wrong, but to be verbally abusive is just wrong and it won't fly very far in most workplaces today. I have experienced a lot of things but I certainly would not stand by and watch another employee suffer that and I wouldn't care about the status of the offender, either.

Two sides there may well have been, but no one deserves to be treated that way- those times are gone.
What way was anyone treated?
Were you there?

I'm not usually happy to take on a story from a person I don't know the first thing about, and I certainly don't take just everything I read on the Internet as fact.

I'm not saying the OP is telling lies, but I have no idea of the story is the truth either, so I'd be slow to commit to supporting one or condemning the other.
I'd need to be presented with more facts before I'd nail my colors to the mast.

I read the OP and like always, take posts at face value- I've no reason to believe otherwise. As I've said, conduct as that described is just not on these days and it wouldn't go unnoticed in most modern workplaces these days.

I have another job to go to thats why I was giving notice ,I ve worked for someone for twenty years before this with out any problems any time to move on
I can understand why you feel pee'd but why not do it Friday afternoon so if they felt they needed yo not to stay work notice they had the weekend to sort Monday morning out with other staff new employees

A man I knew once worked for a bully. One day he had had enough and hit his boss, putting him on his ar$e in a puddle before walking off. Next day he went to market and bought 2 pigs. 40 years later he owned 3 farms covering 800 acres. "Best days work I ever did" he said. Different days today but the principle is the same. Life is too short to put up with cr@p.

I have nothing to hide they have a reputation for such behaviour I took a witness because there is two of them and I ve had them gang up on me before and I m now glad I did whatever the situation nobody should be treated like that,I ve done nothing wrong .
Did you have a contract?
If they don't sort your money properly there's a variety of ways you can respond depending on how much you can be arsed with it and how much you want to stick to the rules.

Turn your back on it and walk away with your head held up high .

I once worked for a dairy farmer in Newcastle Emlyn . He was sweetness and life when I went there but it soon changed. Very soon found out I was the 13th herdsman in 20 yrs .

I handed my notice in with a letter and stated that I was prepared to stay till he replaced me but he went berserk so I just walked away .
It happened just before milking on a Sunday eve and he had to milk them himself .

No point fighting them sorts they've ill never change . I hope you get sorted very soon .

You have no problem,he can't force you to work your notice, and he can't withhold money owed to you. You may technically be in breach of contract, but he could only dismiss you, but he would still owe you for the hours already done. You don't want to work there anyway.
You may have a battle to get the money but it is yours.
