Ooof.

Tbh if my employer told me to foff, I'd do so. But while I was still employed, I'd turn up the next day to see if they wanted me to foff again.

Get it in writing. Did you actually hand your notice in, IE you gave it to them and they took it?

If you were giving notice as required, you've done your part. As for him, well... constructive dismissal may be an understatement, in any case it seems he has voluntarily waived his right for you to work the notice period. If you are owed any holiday it would make sense to take it in lieu.

On the assumption that what you've told us is factually correct, and that your evidence will corroborate it (meaning witness / recording), the chap hasn't a leg to stand on. Does sound like the sort of chap to play funny bug*ers about money - so if you're owed a fair whack be prepared for this to go to Court.

If you don't have a recording of the event, and even if you do, it would make sense for your witness to record a video statement a.s.a.p. and without you there to offer 'helpful' comments and reminders. Good idea for you to do the same - but without your witness present. If both can be recorded in front of a third party, all the better. (y)
