You need to persuade your neighbour to spray, twice. Once next Spring, then again in the Autumn when the rosettes are visible...

After a Summer of pulling, they may well find this appealing. ;)

2,4D is the usual go to herbicide but there are other options.
Yes, I think after a few days of pulling and sore backs next morning they will be open to any advice to make life a little easier!

Drove from Bath to Winchester and back this weekend, two different routes, Wiltshire seems to be growing more ragwort than cereals.

Ragwort is an indicator species. Its proliferation indicates that traditional mixed farming in that area is fecked. Had never seen much of the stuff until went to Norfolk for the first time 20 odd years ago. It is now taking over swathes of Kent.

Once Defra wake up to the fact that all area based SFI should go to PP, they can make one of the conditions control of ragwort.
