Finally getting a little bit this evening - o.5mm so far and looks set light but steady for the night will do the world of good to all crops

Can't remember the last time I was happy it was raining ! It's needed here now

We missed it again this afternoon, had 2 mm in April so far. Under the surface there is moisture could just do with a bit to get our fodder beet started as sat in dust and keep the spring barley going for a little while.

Ive heard this one Snowhite from my Grandad and you could be right!Is your mother in law an ass, think it was on your mind?:LOL:

We have missed the rain and are only getting the odd,very cold shower.we also missed the warm sunshine earlier in the week and seem to have a permanent wind!

well I got a bit over excited about nothing there ! 1mm on my gauge this morning

has perked things up a lot but we need a lot more than that

I hate to say it but we are desperate for rain. Hardly any grass growth yet.
No doubt it will rain all summer now Iv said that!!

Is that more to do with soil temps? We've hardly and grass but we've consistently been getting down to 2 degrees at night, ground frosts and a chilly breeze during the day with not too much by way of sunshine. I think we need some calmer days and more sunshine to allow the soil to warm.

I stuck some N on a few days ago, but quite frankly I think delaying it a bit would not have harmed....
