drained a low bit on a silage field and got it reseeded, shoots started to come through and then yesterday it f**king rained none stop and we're back to square one, dunno why the previous landowners put a drain in that isn't at the lowest point either :S

Tates not through yet. Beet like wing nuts. Veg garden just seedlings. Cereals at least a month behind. OSR is doing its best with a nice golden canopy defying the leaden gloom. Grass not really doing much.

Whats going on? Another degree or two colder and a bit less sun and you would wonder if we would get a harvest at all. Makes you realise how precarious things could be. But we can't do more than our best.

Hope we get some summer soon.

5mm last night and this morning. Better than the 25mm forecast on one site. Better than the 8mm forecast by another. Thats more than adequate now. No more please.
