A question on our local village forum.
where can I buy “Raindear” food
much advice about such product with glitter, some say glitter is poisonous to wild life.
however others say Amazon “ biodegrade ball “ is wild life friendly

can the wisdom of the forum be diverted by myself to help the locals in my country village, get aquainted with the realities of life. ;)

It's a massive market, to be exploited. Kids now put food on the lawn for when Santa lands. Grain store sweepings would do the job, get it bagged and in your local farm shops now, worth far more £/t than the rest of your grain (y) .

When our kids were little they insisted we put a net of haylage out for Santa's reindeer.

We have a window on the landing that looks out onto a single story roof that's next to the chimney - we used to tie the net there.

After they'd gone to bed, I used to go and find 2 or 3 stiffish cow pats to leave near the haylage net when I emptied it.

They thought it was a great laugh that the reindeer had 'poohed on the roof' while Santa was delivering their presents.
