Raising grainstore roof

Last visit to the local Grainstore the lorries unloading were all walking floor type. Possibly investing in something like this is cheaper than roof raising?

What age is the current roof sheets?
Older fibre sheets would be easy to crack, but may be an opportunity to renew roofing materials!?

70's! if we are replacing the roof we might as well replace the building on the foot print of the old. I agree, the older sheets are more likely to crack but to replace means taking the PV off as well!

£20k will buy you an excellent ejector trailer.

we have looked at 2 x 18t ejectors. There will be slow to unload though but its our only other option.

I did a 160 x 45 was only 12 ft high now 21 -22 ft high ... roof off purling off cladding off cut the posts of 4 ft high welded new posts to old posts in workshop then welded that to the stub left stuck up. New side cladding Would I do it again (No )but it’s a good shed now.

There was a feature in the Farmers weekly years ago where someone lifted the roof on a big shed, basically had a lorry tipping ram positioned at each column, connected to a tractor and they just cut through, all pumped up at the same time and put a length in and welded.
