Ram seal - which way around?

Just replacing seals at the neck of a hydraulic ram.

cant remember which way this should be facing...

Should the side of the seal with a channel in it be facing the oil?

Yes thats the pressure side, but there will be another facing outwards as a scraper seal to stop dirt getting in
