just looking for some advise about the shear bolts as i have just got the plough and wanted to make sure the shear bolt were not seized in the leg in case one goes in the field, but when i removed the bolts they were normal bolts with no grooves (3/4x41/2 unf) and i am unsure if this is correct as i can't find any listed the right size cheers mike

May be wrong as its a very long time ago, but when we had a 90,I think the shear devices were not bolts but pins with holes at both ends for split pins. May still have some about.

Nearly certain the 3/4 bolts were are replacement for a shear pin kit for each leg consisted of 3 parts + a sheer pin

Are Dowdeswell bolts no good, 9/16 unc I think, with the annular grooves like those pins. Plenty of them about.

Would be well worthwhile having a chat to Paul Wilkinson at Dowdeswell Parts. this chap is an encyclopaedia on these ploughs and the crossover to Dowdeswell. Chances are he'll tell you what you need to know within about 30 seconds, and a genuinely nice and helpful bloke to boot.
