Is the disc in front of the Subsoiler leg meant to have any movement/swing on its axis? Just wondering if it should or not, it's in line with the leg so if it should but is seized it won't be an issue.

A little movement in case it hits a rock but not swinging

Right, yes that makes sense with its construction and the gap on one side of the grub screw. In that case it's seized. Hopefully I won't hit a rock!

Give it a gentle heat ,it might free the casting on the shank but certainly do not go clouting it cold as you will crack it
