Ransomes robin leg settings

Morning all. Does anyone have a copy of what the leg settings should be for a ransomes robin please..

8 as well! just as interesting is that this is the only time you use the spacer on a two furrow unless ofcourse you needed 11”

Yes, I have a Robin in the shed that still has it's original spacer, currently sat at 10" on YL's, no landwheel though, may put it on the Fergie and see how it goes!

Always wondered why people often use the name Robin for the TS54, but only ever call a TS59 a TS59, which I think was called the Raven for export...

The “Robin” name was used on the plate along side the ts54 designation. Never seen a 59 with the raven name even the two I saw in New Zealand.

Look in Anthony Clare’s book. At one time all Ransomes ploughs had a birds name.

I guess the fact that ones on the badge and ones not is maybe the reason. The names were for export, but the Robin seems to have stuck. Maybe the names were dropped in later years.

I knew about that was just thinking the reason the robin name stuck was because it was actually on the plate fixed to the plough
