Rapid 400C

I am planning to start no till farming soon. I want to buy a second hand Rapid 400C for direct drilling. I also studied other brands but they exceed my budget which I want to allocate for this task.

My question is if I can do direct drilling on finished cover crops ( sprayed or laid down with crimper roller) with Vaderstad Rapid 400C without a considerable modification

No, I dont think so.
The CC will not pass through the machine without blockage. An if it will, the seed slot is not closed by the rear wheels.

There’s a video somewhere on here of a guy using a Rapid 300C doing just what you’ve suggested. It was extremely high trash levels to the top of the tractors bonnet. I think it was in Sweden. I’ve had a quick look but can’t locate it I’m afraid, but the drill certainly wasn’t blocking that’s for sure.
