Surley using one hand to shut it doesn't matter as it leaves the other hand free to push up a sheep etc, When you're closing the Combi Clamp you cant do anything else at the same time till the sheep is locked inLike the fact that it’s light and easy to move, however by having to close the grip by hand is a backwards step from a Combi clamp which leaves both hands free
But presuming the sheep are running well, with a combi clamp drenching or injecting is so quick as your hands are free to hold the gun and grab the sheep's mouth, or wool for injecting.Surley using one hand to shut it doesn't matter as it leaves the other hand free to push up a sheep etc, When you're closing the Combi Clamp you cant do anything else at the same time till the sheep is locked in
ah okay makes sence, never used a Combi Clamp etc but keen to purchase something to make life that little bit easierBut presuming the sheep are running well, with a combi clamp drenching or injecting is so quick as your hands are free to hold the gun and grab the sheep's mouth, or wool for injecting.
Also, when drafting, a little touch with the foot slows a sheep down to smooth the flow.
The portability of the rappa system would be a big improvement though.
Lots of talk on here about the Ritchie Combi Clamp but has anyone seen or used Rappas new Race Grip? Looks like it solves the weight and portability issues of the combiclamp alongside being easier to operate.
