Yeah they turned into good ewes,

they where right type for here,
much better then the ones i bought locally, totally different sheep,
but
I’ve made the jump over to exlana,
pretty much the same minus the wool,

Sold them all to local just up the road ,still see them around and he cannot fault them,
The ram went to someone on here.

If i ever wanted get back into the wooly buggers, id be back up buying again.

He’s gone Exlana over Lleyn to breed up his own shedders

Could a rappa for an ATV be mounted to run off this old muckspreader wheel? all ridiculing comments welcomed. 7miles of electric fencing out is getting tiresome with the push barrow View attachment 1015863
we have a barrow type winder, its been cut off and is mounted on the front of a trike and driven direct from the front wheel, stakes go on the rack at the back or there is a side one but I have not used that.

In theory I'd say its possible - they do a trailer mounted version anyway to run off a car trailer type set up (their own trailer that will also carry the quad).
Mine was bought 2nd hand as a trailer version and I bought the drive arm to fit the bike so I guess you can do the reverse.
You don't have a quad? I'd be a bit concerned about h&s walking beside that to pick up stakes.
Don’t have a quad no, so they work on any ratio tyre you drive them from? Probably wouldn’t walk along side it, would gather plastic posts up and dump at the corner posts to collect

Did think of adapting the barrow but it’s worn out anyway, then the other week I tied it to the bale spike on the tractor and pushed it with that, it did work but corners were tricky, then hit a rut and bent the frame 😂

Mine is worn out but that don't seem to stop it working, many around here will know the former owner of it, must have fenced round many thousands of acres over many years, dam good tool.

Corner posts, now there’s a topic, what does everyone use ??
Apologies to OP but just wondering??

Rappa corner posts. Now nearly £30. But when I bought mine they were back at £20.

Sure you could make your own, but my fabrication skills are roughly equal to those of a goldfish. So I just buy them.

i use these:

Just add three screw in insulators. Better than rappa ones and about £16.

Easy to tread in and not bulky to carry a few on the bike.

Surely even your fabrication skills could manage hacking a bit of 40mm angle into 4’ lengths?

Note the fancy addition of slotted insulators, rather than just string…😎

i never ever use a corner post...fences 1000s of acres ,i just tie the wire back to a bush or whatever with poly bale cord...been doing it for years...corner posts are a waste of time and hard work....Try it
What about when the corner is going the wrong way though? You just bend a plastic stake and first time something hits the wires it snaps?
