Ok. Been on the same old mix for ages. All that changed is we dropped some silage out as we have run out. Cattle are doing ok. Bulls are growing slow.
In 1 mix goes
3000kg of crimp cereals
3000kg maize silage
1000kg of biscuit meal
200 kg of soya
Bag of minerals . Lime stone flower. 15 kg of yeast.
We don't weigh nothing . Please don't say we should. I'd love to but there ant time and the bulls are grumpy as it is. They have access to salt lick and straw. Is there some tweeks we can make. David handy advices us. But just wandering what's others think cheers

Way low in protein. Nearly 3 tonnes of DM in your energy ingredients, maize silage being a very low protein source. If they are 400kg plus I would up the soya to 300kg but if the cattle are smaller than that 400kg. As for the minerals it depends on the recommended rate on the bag but if they are a standard bag to the tonne inclusion of dry feed put three bags in. I would drop the level of crimp to keep the total tonnage the same. Growing bulls in particular need protein and they will be a lot quieter if your having aggression problems believe me I’ve been there

Looks like a powerful ration but a bit more protein and fibre wouldn't hurt. David Hendy is a top bloke does our nutrition as well. Hard to really comment on a ration without weight data as at the end of the day it all comes down to cost per kg and days on farm.
