Try fen traps on top of the feed in the hopper.

We saw the first of the winter flitting rats yesterday. A group of 4 young coming out of the foundations of the weigh bridge, almost unafraid of humans as they’ve never encountered us before.

Dunno but you dont have to put water in the barrel.

More humane than rat poison ......to be honest I'm not bothered how they die ....as long as they do !!

Get terrier/polecat men in. Then the night vision air rifle guys. Set traps, preferably live ones so you can see what you are catching before boinking it on the head.

I would not use poison as they just run off and die in random places and stink. Plus it is expensive.

There are thousands of folk out there looking to go air-gunning and ferreting etc but who have no contacts.

Thinning them out slowly.
Got a couple of 'walk the plank' traps,set up after 'acquiring' some wheelie bins .

Plus plenty of poison down

40 quid for 4 kilos that will clear my place up on average 3times

£40 for 4 kilos sounds expensive to me.

I pay £40 for 20 kilos.

it could be 100 but is still cheap
20 minutes to walk round baiting and clear the problem up in 4 days

air rifles are fun yes but don't finish the job same with terriers

Yes . Ramp is a but steep on the one in the photo but I've caught 37 in that bin .
The other one..Will get a photo ... the ramp is level out of a feeder and have caught over 60 .
OH said its not a,wise thing to put photo up of rats In the water ....

I have professionals deal with mine, £100 per quarter, rarely see a rat, if I do I ring up and they come and deal with them. With ad-lib pig feed hoppers everywhere this is the best solution that I have come to.

97 Rats! you could probably swap them for a couple of free Chow meins from the local take away

They are getting less !

Iv brother with them eating peanut butter but the gin trap isn't going of.
