What is required to link these together to have a play at VRA seeding this autumn ?

I can make the maps myself with Gatekeeper mapping but what hardware will I need in the cab to carry out the plan ?

sorry a bit off topic but what elements do you measure to produce your vra maps. Obviously yield is only one element?

I had a small block Ec scanned last year so have created soil type and % establishment maps baed on that

Not convinced there is much in vra seed bit I enjoy messing about with these things and it adds interest to the job !

Think there is more to be gained from varying nutrient inputs and irrigation than from varying seed rates.

A few people over here are doing vra irrigation as water is getting expensive

Hi Clive,

Hardware wise, you will require a simple cable from us to connect between the two 9 way ports.

Nathan at LH had carried out some testing with the protocols on the X30 (one of his photos attached) and they were developing a newer version to utilise the LH5000 protocol which allow the Artemis to report back to the X30 the current drill width. It might be worth a call to LH to find out if they have the latest version released now which includes this and to update your unit.

Clive did you ever link Topcon to Artemis? If so how did it go?

Blimey I think he might of sorted it by now
It is a straightforward lead patching the 2 boxes then you can use section control to switch drill on and off
