Still run a Wolsey midge fencer for the horses, modern day version of the above, still go tick tick tick, best company I have ever dealt with, you can phone them up any problems they will talk you through it, and spares next day delivery. (y)
The midge fencer for a battery operated packs a fair punch all around the line as good at the end as at the start.

I'm reliving my youth, had one of these on the farm I worked on in the 80's. I've got it working on my 6 volt battery charger. Can you get 6 volt batteries.
Are these any good
I use a similar Wolseley fencer too! I got some 12v to 6v reducers off Ebay & fitted one inside the case so I can use a standard 12v battery. They were about a fiver (from China of course)

Last one I bought was from Amazon for around £3
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Converter-Module-Supply-Voltage-Regulator/dp/B00F2DUM9E

I originally bought 3 direct from China about 3 years back for about £5 delivered. One failed this summer after two summers of use &, of course, I couldn't find the two spares, so had to buy another PDQ since we now had the tack cattle in :banghead:
Come to think of it, they haven't turned up even after I bought another, which usually finds everything.

Just remember, being electronic, they won't like being connected with a wrong polarity, so make sure your Wolseley Wasp battery leads are clearly marked, or perhaps fit a diode in line with the reducer?

Is the NEC a better venue for LAMMA?
