Sharmans are barely any further away than startin, and only took on Case in last year. Then Farmstar at Newark also.. That would be 4 Case dealers in a 40ish mile area..

Pontesbury tractors, Case and Severn Farm, NH are either side of the village of pontesbury, Severn Farm being in the premises where Rea Valley were founded.
Teme valley tractors in Welshpool is about 15 miles away by road but probably no more than 100 yards as the crow flies from Rea valleys Welshpool depot.
Just to add to the confusion in Welshpool, as well as having Rea valley currently selling JD, Charlie’s also do the groundcare range of JD products up to and including the 5100 series tractors.
Just who ends up with what and where we’ll have to wait and see,
Iv got it on pretty good authority it is true but rvt not announcing it until the Malpass tractor deal is signed and sealed
word on street is rvt can’t even get quotes for JD machines anymore but have been told too just carry on as normal for now

As I heard it the Malpas deal is in addition to RVT taking on NH in their existing area but how accurate that is I don’t know.Iv got it on pretty good authority it is true but rvt not announcing it until the Malpass tractor deal is signed and sealed
But if true and Cornthwaites move south with the JD franchise it will see the two firms both covering a large and similar area.

I haven’t a clue what’s true and what’s not but the amount of talk doing the rounds I’d be very surprised if something isn’t happening.

Just heard RVT are loosing JD because of Kramer which is owned by JD and don't approve of selling JCB .... so RVT are going to sell new hollland

Has Severn farm machinery really taken off? Not really heard of anybody having anything off them….
I had my NH off them . I can’t say how much they sell though , although I’m sure they’d be bust if they hadn’t done much business . The owner is one of the original Reavalley directors

Maybe but the rumours don’t entirely add up, according to rumour, they have bought Malpas out but NH dealers in their existing area are losing NH to them, if NH can take the franchise off dealers in some areas they could do likewise to Malpas, the only difference being RVT would then need to find premises in those areas.
Is Malpas for sale, I thought there was another generation coming into the buisness, I don’t know that much about them but they weren’t a buisness going nowhere, they have expanded quite a bit in my lifetime so I wouldn’t have thought NH would be looking to take the franchise off them but you never know.
It’s all good for internet and market gossip and speculation but none of us really know. But this dies affect people’s jobs and buisnesses, hopefully they all come out of this relatively ok, there’s a shortage of good workers on most sectors of ag so the employees shouldn’t have too much difficulty even if it means working on a different brand or for a different employer although uncertainty is never great.
As for the buisness owners things could be more worrying with the potential to lose their main franchise.
