'Real' breeders reject EBVs

Haha seen that article earlier, was only a matter of time before it made it on here!

It's fairly clear someone has a specific agenda against EBVs before even setting out to write about it. Not much of an article really, just a few quotes from 'top' breeders.

Do you have the text of the full article available?

Unfortunately not, you'll need to buy the SF for the privilege. It is just the usual nonsense, you can imagine.

I'm sure there is a debate to be had about the utilisation of EBVs in certain circumstances, but that wasn't it.

Given the fact they don't publish the full article on-line, presumably in an effort to drive sales, I don't think it would be appropriate for me to share it, especially so close to the publication date.

Yep pile o shite! I dont bother reading it anymore

People who get big prices tend to because they breed the best. They may be on good ground and fed but if they didn't breed well the buyers wouldn't come back.

Look also at the Scottish farmer on tup prices back in 1910 etc. equivalent to today's prices.

It may look daft to some people but end of the day pedigree sales have always been like this. No point moaning about it.
