Real odd one?

Hi all
Had a really strange one, and wondered if anybody has ever seen anything like this?
This was picked up on a trail camera, to get to where this is would be along the track that is out the other side where he’s come from at least a 4 mile walk, it is in the middle of nowhere, the farm buildings would take longer to get to and would be far easier to reach from all other angles in ways that you could do so if you wanted to be hidden also.
The picture I have shared is of what this person is Carrying. he’s come through gateway that is hidden again in the middle of a wood, he’s obviously managed to find this somehow and knows it’s there you wouldn’t even pick this up from Google Earth, as all of the trees around it seclude where it is.
He’s gone in empty-handed on a mission to collect whatever it is that he is then 10 minutes later come back with,
I don’t think it’s somebody that is stealing things or has planted it from stealing it as it’s too far for him to go to get it, he’s not stole it from us as it is nothing that we have, other people that I have asked are saying that they think it is a strimmer or something similar , it is definitely not this.
The way that he is carrying it and the rest of it would be showing it is light.
Whatever it is he has used it for a job, or a reason or it does something?
It is obviously light otherwise he would be surely carrying it from what appears to be a handle.
There seems to be a cord that is coming out of the middle of it that has a loop at the end as this swings and you can just pick this out in the picture, as you can see it has a little bit of a bar that comes out that isn’t very long, as his elbow is into his side so therefore his hand isn’t far in front holding onto whatever is in front of that, also the angle of it if it was something heavy it would be hanging down more , he is walking very easily and striding out carrying it and it does not even swing so again it is something that is too light to be of an engine. Or consist of anything too big.
Anybody have any idea what this may be? He’s obviously up to no good and he has an expensive pair of night vision goggles on which on the first video that I have shows him adjusting them , luckily at the point that our trail camera would’ve been activated so he would’ve picked it up, with his goggles.

For him to have such goggles on and the type of gear that he is wearing he’s obviously not poor To be doing something like poaching, and again it is Miles from anywhere that he can nick anything.
We are talking at least a 5 mile walk to get to whatever he’s doing so, not driveable either. I’m thinking it’s something along the lines of maybe a sab though at the same time we haven’t done hardly any shooting to cause interest, And again if it was something like this there is closer areas that they could get to to scout out the sort of thing.

Betweenthelines will be here shortly to tell us something doesn't add up. :)

Woodland does attract weirdos. From blokes trying to cut down trees with fret saws, Rambo types, and just a great place for fly tippers etc,

could he be nicking roosting pheasants and taking them elsewhere.......rod with loop to catch holda legs?........or badger baiter and device is for animal control?
He’s £3000 odds with if night vision goggles on and sadly pic not showing him well but fairly decent looking clothing on for that sort of breed, he’s gone and picked this up after it’s been there for at least a week, as the trail camera had been there a week before he’s appeared on there, where he is coming empty-handed and exactly 10 minutes later walked back out carrying this so it’s something that he has planted.
For somebody that’s doing something like this that is going to manage to sell them at £2 a bird, he’s got too much of an expensive kit on The kind that could afford to just buy one ready for the oven 🤔

Metal detector
Surely if it was a metal detector he would come in carrying it, he’s walked in and it’s taken him 10 minutes from the middle of nowhere from what is a massive forest owned by the forestry commission that’s all on one great big slope really difficult walking, not a place that you can get to very easily at all, and also he is then come back carrying it he wasn’t carrying it in if that makes sense it’s something that he has planted

he's not gonna eat them....he's either 'rescuing them' or 'relocating them' to be shot elsewhere;)

I’m not knocking your comment in anyway, there’s easier places that he could nick them from and if he was in to be nicking them he would be carrying something in not going in to retrieve something, also to be carrying whatever he is carrying at that angle they would have to be pretty light pheasants, you can carry this with real ease it’s obviously something that is very light quite big but of a really strange shape.
Which is why that I think it is something that he has planted that has a use, or a job.
Definitely up to no good maybe it’s something new that sabs are using, we didn’t do the cull and also we haven’t done any shooting for a long time to have alerted anyone in that direction..

Id be on to police asap. He is up to no good!. Could you get a good tracking dog to follow his scent?
Exactly and that’s the thing it’s knowing what he’s up to if that makes sense, to have an idea what it is that he is carrying back? I will try and upload the two videos when I get them off of the memory card this is a picture that I have screenshot of the computer at work
