Fed up of struggling to line up bolts and manhandle wheel weights into place.
Thinking of trying to design a telehandler mounted gadget to pick up the weights and be able to put them up to the tractor wheel and rotate into place. Has anyone done this already or got any ideas of the best way to go about it

Slide them onto a single pallet tine perhaps? Be easily positioned and rotated at least

Stub axle ,and a flat steel wheel like on an old cousins subsoiler ,have a similar yoke ,what put tractor wheels on with ,it has small lawnmower wheel that goes in rim , so you can turn it a bit ,and two support wheels at the bottom

That's basically what we've been doing up to now, but they need to be right on the very end of the tine so that the tine doesn't run into the hub first, then having to shuffle 205kg round and get them flat to the wheel pan so that the bolts go in, is not easy.

Mchale Soft hands will do the job, just need a rubber tyre taped to it to grip the wheel weight

Been thinking on those lines ,getting a big disc cut ,to sit where dual wheel sits ,just need to think how to secure it ,dont want a half ton circular "saw blade " coming off down road at 40 k and slicing a lorry in two

Thinking of using an old stub axle was about as far as i'd got

That looks just the thing, although we might need a bigger roller as the centre of JD weight is bigger than the one in the picture

Instead of wheel weights ,have you seen ezi ballast laforge made them for 7 series jd ,dont know how many dollars they are , have asked terry birch a price to cut some steel out and what it will weigh , have made a plywood template , and working out how thick ,to get the right weight and work out how to mount demount easily ,

Yeah, that was the drive over one, were they an option for the 6R ? Haven’t heard much about them, maybe they didn’t catch on.
