As has been advised - give them all 2cc of Draxin under the skin - this is treating them for 80kg and covering them for 2 weeks.

Any that are visibly poor at present give them Metacam into muscle (3 - 4cc be plenty) and some Nuflor or Fenflor or equivalent into muscle.

Good luck.

Thank you all. I sense this batch off calves won’t be as smooth sailing as my previous ones
You always get the odd bad batch and the problems change from batch to batch a bit like each lambing throws up different issues. Keep your chin up life’s full of issues and learning curves!

Before each batch give the housing a pressure wash and disinfect it, give them lots more straw to keep them warm and invest in a few calf jackets. Can you put some form of temporary roof as well In there to give them a cosy corner to lie in? What’s the ventilation and drainage like? Looks housing based to me.

Haven’t had calf in for 2 years nearly. And before that at least 15 years. Last batch put planks across back off pens for roof but 5£25 was in January that batch so was a lot colder and colder air in shed

Calf took bloat the other evening and gave it cooking oil and it helped it. Was fine all next day to bedtime again then same again. It keeps coming back, is there anything I can give it to help it more permanently or is it just going have it all the time
