Rearing Jersey calves on once a day feeding

Has anyone any experience of rearing Jersey calves on OAD. I'm currently using an automatic feeder and while in not unhappy with it it's still quite labour intensive. Ive heard good results with OAD on other breeds but was wondering how jerseys would do on it
