Can anyone help, recently have had a very large electric bill for my house, says using 30+kWh a day all that's on permanently is a modern style immersion tank and general household use, I have a 4kwh solar panels on the roof and I'm wondering if they could be causing it ? Could something have gone wrong to cause a higher meter reading ?

We had a run of some crazy bills to the house.
Couldn’t understand it all.
Eventually we tracked it to a faulty freezer.
It seemed to be running permanently. 😡

get your self an immersion heater controller, it will only use your own generated electric for the immersion unless you override it with the boost button

Firstly, do you monitor the usage by reading and submitting your readings?
How does this compare historically?
Do you use just electric for heating etc?
We use 78 kwh daily on average, but I expect that this is mainly in the winter. I do have a fairly large house though but also 7.8kwp of solar

we had an issue with our immersun (i think it was called that) the magnet had cracked in half (whether that was to blame i dont know) it was using grid energy when it was supposed to be using solar. I switched it off and problem solved, would of taken it up with the installer but they went pop about a month after it went in.

Don't they always....

Immersun went the same way too, but they re-launched as you probably know.
