Hi, could you tell me roughly how big an area one of your 30w led flood lights will light please.
Need to put lighting on the outside of our workshop/ shed.
Thinking of 3 30w flood lights.
Thanks
Gareth

This depends on the mounting height, roughly how high will you mount them? Do you need them for security or just lighting?

Hi, thanks for coming back to me.
They would be mounted about 4m high.
One would be for security, with an independent pir.
The other to would be on a switch to light our yard.

At 4 meters you would get a spread of approximately 13m. The distance from the building will change depending on how far you swivel the lamp out from the building. The calculation is made using 110deg spread. At 4m 30W flood will give proximately 50lux at ground level and 50W about 85lux. As a guide the 30W is equivalent to a 150W halogen and a 50W to 250W. The lower the height the higher the intensity but the spread is reduced. Hope this helps.
