Reclaim VAT on a Land Cruiser?

i see in the FW someone is advertising a nearly new land cruiser with the claim that it is VAT qualifying which I take to mean the VAT can be reclaimed, is this possible?
The same claim is made on their website, greenheath.co.uk

It’s an invincible x which I believe is the highest spec so as you say, not very “commercial “, heck, it doesn’t even have a tow bar.

Scrolling the pictures I was thinking of lower mortons old discovery.. It looked like any other disco until you got in and found it was actually a van..

This definitely ain't no van.

That would have been a discovery commercial, Peter frank had one also. A rear seat conversion is available for them I’m pretty sure that’s what Simon Roberts has, so that accounts for 3 commercials in a very small radius.
Back to the land cruisers, they do do a commercial version with no back seats but that one in the ad certainly ain’t.

Vat qualifying only means it has not been previously been sold to someone i.e. Maybe a demo

I think you can claim 50% of the vat amount if you use it predominantly for business (50% minimum) and are vat registered, only by way of a Finance Lease, not HP or paying cash - HMRC rules

I think it’s
You can usually claim 50% of vat on a leased car(not hp)

You can claim 100% on car if it’s 100% business use. Making sure it’s only insured for business use. Employees are also not permitted to use car for private miles.

I think you have to park the vehicle in the business premises at all times and you'll have to be ready to be scrutinised on what you do with the vehicle
