Recommend a decent mouse?

Can anyone recommend a decent simple computer mouse that doesn't cost a fortune? It's for a Mac but most seem to work.

Prefer cordless as the desk is already cluttered with wires. I seem to get through them in no time. I've one that sets the pointer fluttering on the screen although it's sitting on the desk untouched. Another (Apple) that only works if I press it at a certain point. Then another that regularly stops working and will only start again if I take the batteries out and swop them around....

That sounds like good advice. Logitec have a good name. My problem is probably my inherent meanness! £20 for a mouse sounds like a fortune to me! I thought this £8 one expensive and the Apple mouse came with the s/h Mac!

Not directly picking on you, But it this attitude get on my wick. the amount of times i get ask round to fix someone computer, and listen to how they HATE to use the computer to find a cheap keyboard which is like typing on soggy cardboard. a sh!t mouse that you wag all over the place in the hope it goes to the right spot, and a crap monitor that after 5 mins has given you a splitting headache

I had a cordless one a time back . I couldn't get on with it at all . Every time I came to use it , I had to unplug the sender for a short time and plug back in again before it would work . Probably a cheapo , but I don't have a problem with a wired optical one .
