Recommend me a big bag handling attachment?

The discussions in the safety threads have prompted me to get a proper big bag handler, one that will carry two one tonne bags.
Tried an internet search but there’s a lot of junk on there. Any ideas for best makes please.

You can get some now that have adjustable width. Seems sensible if you can justify it.

You must be the other person in this country who insists on ton bags. I'm told everybody else uses 600 kgs or half tons.

I thought quite a few on here liked tonne bags.

I struggle to fit any more than 1800kg in my spreader (with some left from the last load) but would certainly move to 1t bags for stablity if nothing else when I next get a bigger spreader.

Bag lifters

Looking at bag lifters, predominantly for loading drills with 500kg bags. Unloading fertiliser second use. What make gives the best use of getting the bars through the hoops, doesnt damage the bag hoops (cylindrical bars) and main aim in my mind is allows the bag to rest back against the frame...

carries and cuts 2 1 tonne bags. I've had the original for 3 years now and really like it or that make conventional bag carriers

I have the Albutt model. Built like a brick outhouse. Use it with either 2 x 1T bags or 4 x 600kg bags. Unit is rated up to 4x1T bags but my handler won’t cope with that. BUT it does mean that it is built to easily withstand the forces from 4x600kg bags. Hydraulic width adjustment a godsend.

You can see what the cronk is going on as they are engaging with the bags/loops higher up so the carriage isn't in the way of your view. It's harder to explain than just 'see' if you know what I mean.

Also its a bit easier unloading curtain siders as the 'prongs' are higher up so there is plenty more clearance before a headstock/roof interaction.

Also much less risk of straps on bags being sliced on sharp times. They are made of round tube so in theory they have bigger contact patch and no sharp edges

A lot easier unloading curtain side lorries with out head stock hitting roof and a lot safer and longer reach loading seed drill.

Also the rear side of the bags sit against the frame of the lifter so don't swing about like they do dangling on pallet forks.

Pretty sure the one at work is a Cherry products.

It's hydraulic adjustable width.

Can't fault it.
