Recommend me a car

Need a car to take 6 people. Problem is, with any I have looked at, when using back row of seats, there is no boot space, and I hate roof boxes. Something older, preferably. Looked at a vw touran, no space in back at all when seats are up. Are any of them any better?

Ford galaxy would be the only true 7 seater you can get adults in the rear with a decent size boot with out going up to transit van type vehicle

My partner has 3 kids and I got two. So 7 of us when we go round together or have a day out.

I bought a Toyota Alphard from Japan. 8 seater. Brilliant vehicle, v.comfortable and not expensive to buy and galvanized chassis.

Not v fuel efficient avg 25mpg so its not a great daily driver.

I don't like older European cars they end up expensive

2 adults 4 children. Oldest is 12.

Why not get a nice little 2 seat convertible and put a toe hitch on it for a trailer to carry the rest of the family around when needs be...

VW Transporter kombi. 2 rows of 3 then half a van of boot space behind. Can have a proper steel bulkhead separating cargo and can come with auto and 4x4.

You need a Peugeot traveller or Citroen spacetourer or vauxhall vivaro life, XL version of each. huge amount of room and still a big boot. We have 6 kids, 3 teenage boys and 3 younger and space is no issue, boot is still so big that we don't even need to fold up the pushchair for the baby, just lift it in.

Any 7 seater with a split rear seat will do, just fold one of the back seats down for boot space.

If that's not enough space for you, look at a van. Or a luggage trailer.

Aunt and Uncle had caravan behind their Caravelle, went all over Europe and UK. I didn't once think they looked like Irish travellers and doubt anyone else did.
Who cares what it looks like anyway if you are travelling in comfort .
