Looking for a new pressure washer for home, got a small karcher at the moment and it's pants after being used to big on farm ones, it's only for blasting the car and truck off and don't want to spend silly money but at the same time want something that is actually going to shift the muck

Nilfisk here at home. 120 bar one not the biggest nor the smallest.

I got the 90degree nozzle attachment to go with it spot on keeping under the truck clean and blasting the bungalow gutters out.

Don’t get just a cold water one. We did and have regretted it ever since. It’s rubbish in comparison to any brand with hot wash capability.

I bought one of these recently to use as a mobile machine round the house and yard. I have a Nixon steam cleaner set up as a static machine for tractor/machinery cleaning but it would be a big lump to move around too much.

Really pleased with it - same pressure and flow as Nixon. Professional model machine so great quality compared to the consumer level models most brands make in the lower price bracket. Even has a hose reel on top too. Seemed a bargain for the money too compared to many alternatives.

Only used one hot one somewhere I worked and it spent most of the time broke so don't want the hassle or the bulkiness for pulling out of the garage to use it

I think it is well worth talking to a dealer who can advise on the right machine for you.
You can't beat experience and knowledge to make sure you at least start with the right machine.
They often have top spec second hand machines at similar money to new 'crappy' stuff and will be perfect for hard but infrequent work.
Not sure where you are but for the South West I'd recommend F C Cleaning. http://www.fccleaningsystems.co.uk/

Spoke to them, they have offered me a second hand nilfisk Poseidon 3 for £200 including the vat with 3 months warranty. Does that sound like a fair deal?

It sounds a pretty reasonable deal to me if it includes the hose reel. For £364 inc VAT you could have a brand new one in my link above which is pretty much identical spec.

A new Posiden 3 is £776 inc VAT - how they justify double the price I have no idea.

As far as I know it's ready to go, just put the hose on and plug in ?

I believe they are a fair outfit and would sell a suitable machine at a sensible price but my opinion on whether its a a fair price wouldn't be worth ort.
I found a small leak the day after I bought one and they came the first thing the next morning and fixed it FOC which is a brilliant service and made me very happy with my buy.
