I need a 230v unit to pump rainwater out of a collecting tank into a beet cleaner. It will need to pump up 2m and along 6m. Ideally I want an in line pump rather than submersible, 75+lpm, as high a pressure as possible. Pump will run 1-2 mins at a time, controlled by a manual switch.

Any recommendations?

Try Alcon pumps all you need is a centrifugal pump on a electric motor , a 2" pump would do this easy, I have second 3" pump only I would sell ,it has a very big out put

I work for Sulzer pumps. We make submersibles but that's not your preference. My brother has one of ours in a rain water collecting tank. In winter it pumps on to a Tanco beet cleaner-feeder. In summer it fills the sprayer. There are a few sales / service centres in UK. But in reality if a submersible would do then whatever brand is stocked nearby will do fine.

We want it for a Tanco cleaner bucket as well. Only reason for in line is the tank is all enclosed and I’d have to cut another hole in it.

Your plan to use an in line pump is best in that situation alright.
My brother fixed a horizontal steel pipe with holes in it to a shed pillar in the place where he washes. The pump is permanently connected to it. He parks under it when washing so he doesn't have to connect to the pipe on the m/c each time. It's spraying vertically down on the beet instead of the machines own pipe which is off to one side.
Maybe your local pump or milking m/c supplier will have a suitable booster pump.

Where I work we install a lot of centrifugal pumps in distilleries. You're looking for something to pump 4,500L/hr of water against a head of say 5m (2m height plus some pressure loss in your discharge line) which really isn't going to be a big pump.

Something like this would do nicely - 1" inlet and 1" outlet with a 0.75kW motor which would run fine off a 13A plug. It's capable of doing 90L/min against a head of 21m - your low head of 5m is off the end of the chart, but if you put a ball valve in the discharge line you can choke it back to artificially increase the head and prevent the pump running away with itself.

If your pump is lower than the outlet of the tank it will not need priming the pressure from the tank will keep it primed.

nothing wrong with Chinese pumps had one on the pool 5 years does not miss a beat.

You will find most English pumps they try to sell you are only rebadged chinese pumps at a pump up price.
