Recommend me a quad bike.

I am looking for a used quad bike to mount a small 150l tank on the back so I can use it for spot spraying weeds.
It will spend a lot of time on tick over, travelling quite slowly at times. Mostly used during the spring and summer. Might (probably will) get a slug pellet machine put on it during the autumn. Will be used on undulating ground conditions.

I would prefer diesel - is this recommended?
Is automatic a thing on quad bikes?
Start on a key/button?
How many miles / hours is a lot on a bike?
I know nothing about quad bikes, never driven one.
Anyone recommend a good dealer in used bikes in the wales/midlands areas?
What should I be looking for? Make/model.

Yamaha Grizzly 350 with the lowest hours/kms you can afford.

I can't say I've ever seen a diesel quad.

Might not help directly but I’ve got a 200l towable logic sprayer has lance and 4 nosel boom it’s very handy, much better than mounted on before.

that’s on a Honda 420 very common quad and I’ve found very reliable, has injection instead of carb which makes world of difference I think.

Yamaha 450 is rated at 80kg on the rear rack.
if you want 150l and diesel, you need a John Deere gator, polaris ranger, etc.
Yamahas are automatic.
if going Honda, don’t buy an Electroshift, as it needs your left hand to change gears, which you’ll need for spot spraying.
I only drive an arctic cat diesel once, and they are heavy on the steering, so wouldn‘t be suitable for spot spraying either. Some of the newer quads have power steering which may be a benefit for spot spraying.
You need to go to a dealer and ride a couple about their yard.
