Got a job coming up repairing my tedder. The whole thing appears to be held together with double roll-pins. Any parallel punches I have ever owned seem to be either the wrong sizes and always are too soft and bell out after a short time making them almost useless. There must be some proper quality ones out there that last a lifetime? Don't mind paying for quality, just need to know what is wroth investing in.

Facom ones with black rubbery/foam grips best I have ever had and they come in big sizes too I got a 5/8 one:)

I got a set of snap on roll pin punches 16 years ago. The best punches I ever bought. Ok they’re useless for anything other than a roll pin, but seeing as they seat themselves in the pin it saves all that faffing of lining the punch up. Never had one bend or break either, not even the smallest one.

Don’t want to teach sucking eggs and all that but usually the death of parallel punches involves too big a hammer. Used to have a gedore set till someone thought they’d rather own them, good punches.
