Recommendation for new roller shutter door installation

We have two old roller shutter doors on a 1600t grain store. One has broken beyond repair and the other is not very clever. I'm looking for recommendations for good companies who would be able to take out the existing doors and fit new electrically operated doors.

I'd be happy to be given the opportunity to quote you for some door's. You can contact us on 01942 840593 or email me [email protected] Thanks

Is there a way to make a roller door quieter when it's windy, so it doesn't bang about like the proverbial sh!t house door?

I have found the only real way to quieten roller doors is to either use sectional type construction or plastizote coating on the laths with brush type guide seals on the sides to dampen movement. The block type insulated doors are not bad either.
I would have thought Millars would be the closest to you James, its not about price, more a case of correct spec and top quality service to me TBH.

Yes windlocks do give the door strength to stop them blowing in they are not put on to stop the door's from rattling. There are different options for door's and different kind of finish roller shutter door's are the cheapest option in a galv or plastisol coated finish. Sectional overhead door's & insulated roller shutter door's are quieter & more expensive. If you need anymore information just ask.

Is there a rubber seal I can fit to the bottom of the roller door to stop water getting in under the door.? Fed up with puddle inside workshop!
I had a rubber seal on my main machinery store and a rat chewed through it. :banghead:
I rang a roller shut door company to replace it and they told me not to bother with it as they will do it again.
Anyway what I did was place a 4" rubber strip on the floor cover it with mastic then drop door on it,and left it over the weekend, sealed the bottom of the door perfectly to the ground contours, and it does keep the rain out.

Another vote for Russell miller. We’ve had a couple of doors fitted of different widths which have been great. Good value for money and good service.
does anyone know if Russell miller are still in business? On google it says the company has been dissolved?? Or does anyone have any contact details for them?
