Recommendations for a decent pair of work boots

What's everyone's thoughts on lace-up steel toe-capped boots, similar to the Cat "hydraulic" style - 6 pairs of lace eyes?
I have just destroyed my second pair of Cat Hydraulics in as many years, same thing the sole parts company with the rest of it.

What do you find is a durable boot?

I've got exactly the same problem..
CAT steel toed work boots, haven't even lasted 3 months.. sole parting company with the top..

Previous pair did slightly better at around 6 months

Trouble is, they are a damn comfy boot to be stomping around in, day in and day out !

I find Site work boots from Screwfix wear well. Admittedly I have the dealer boot but I'm sure lace up would be the same. £40 a pair if I remember correctly.

I was wondering if the jumping on cab steps had anything to do with it as mine always come apart on the inside, middle of the sole..

I'm also certain they used to be better made !

Getting so bad now that even this years fat wheat grains are flowing into my boot quite readily when I walk on the pile ( and no, it's not going in the top) ...

Threres a thread on here about v12's

Similar issue I'm afraid !!

Trying these next............

I am trying Gri Sport boots this time around.
I kill most boots very quickly but these seem to be more than OK so far.
Decent leather and soles, but quite lightweight.

so far so good, likewise my CATs just flew to bits

Another vote for Gri-sport boots here. Get on well with them, available with laces and dealer type I think and not too dear(around £45-£50).
They last me about 3-4 years although mostly only worn in the summer. I’m on my 2nd pair now but might have to invest in a new pair next year.

I'm on my 4th or 5th pair now, worn all day everyday often when I should have wellies on but I hate wellies. Usually get 12-18month out of them, if I actually looked after them I'd probably get longer. find them very comfy and suit my broader foot, I did try v12 but I found them long for the width, gri good value at 40odd quid.
