recommendations for a weather station

We have a Climemet CM2016 here, worked OK but nothing outstanding, now the wifi part doesn't communicate so need to upgrade and looking for recommendations.

Points we didn't like with this was the display was cluttered with some unimportant details and not easy to navigate, there was no totaliser for monthly rainfall and it couldn't connect to the computer.

So we are looking for something that has a wind direction vane as well as the usual wind-speed and rainfall, has a decent sized display that can sit in the kitchen window and also a program on the computer for logging the weather events. We don't have power at the outdoor station so that part needs to be battery operated

What can you suggest?

I purchased a Davis weather station following advice on here. It’s been great so far!

thanks for that!

They have an impressive range!.....and I like the bit where you can call them for advice....but i just read thru the amazon ratings and there were some unhappy customers, now we had trouble with the Climemet but put it down to the cost...not cheap at 100 notes, but hey ho.....this is 3 times that so would expect something 100% reliable
