Chaff cart I used in Australia just released it as you were going in big heaps then left to be burnt. Was hydraulically driven so didn't take up much engine power. The idea of the chaff “cart”seems a good idea but may not work in practice when harvesting high yields, as cart would need to be unloaded so regularly, thereby reducing combine performance.
Well that’s only true if demand doesn’t increase which it patently is.I do like these threads where: 'the price of this commodity hasn't inflated like everything else', it's should be X per tonne now because inflation!'
Basic commodities do not change in value like regular goods; the clue is in the name: 'commodities'.
How do you think the poor platinum miners in the world are getting on? Not even getting paid what they were in 2011- less than half the money in fact. The easier something is to obtain and the less effort required to obtain it, the less elastic demand and supply will be.

Ones I've seen were like a hammer mill on back of combine. Pulverised weed seeds. How does a seed destructor work?

Read that link I posted aboveHow does a seed destructor work?
Don't like the burning temperatures forecast beforehand, wheat on our thin stuff doesn’t look as well this morning as it did last week.
Meanwhile in S.W. Manitoba, still raining, ditches and sleughs full, 13 degrees, and planting not progressing.
I tried once, planted some 7 inch and 12 inch vinyls but they didn't even emerge, let alone make it to the combine. No record harvest here.
John Fielding? As a lad, 60 yrs or so ago, I worked for some time on a farm next door to the dynamic and influential 'SJ' (SJ Phillips) of Kemble.
He told me he found it difficult to replicate his excellent results on the low Cotswolds at Kemble, next to the mainline railway station, on off-land further north and 600ft higher up, at Aldsworth.
today and tomorrows heat is not going to lead to record yields
We’ve had about 50mm of rain since mid July, even on heavy land that simply is not enough. Might get some this weekend if not then I am significantly downgrading my expectations.
