We have recently introduced recycled plastic fencing to our product range, and although we have worked with it ourselves (post and rail and stock fence) we are looking for farmers who are willing to try it. It's ideal if you want a very long service life (estimated 50+ years), and particularly suitable for areas prone to laying wet/flooding for extended periods. We are willing to supply the materials at cost for the right project, in exchange for the opportunity to video & photograph the installation. We are based in West Sussex.
The posts have a similar look to dark stained timber and you can staple and screw into them just like wood. You can also drive them with a post driver but we recommend that the holes are spiked or augered first, as the material is ductile.
In terms of cost they are similarly priced to metal fencing systems such as Clipex but have the benefit of looking similar to wood. They are also less prone to lifting out, and you don't need specific fixings to attach wire or electric strands.
For stock fencing posts from 70mm/2.75" to 150mm/6" rounds are available up to 2.8m/9ft long.
