Have had builders in to help build retaining wall with rocks that have been ploughed up in the past. He has asked if I could supply some for his next job. Would be using tractor and trailer so would I have to be on white diesel?

You need planning consent 11RC to sale stone of your land unless you are doing it for free,then it’s a white diesel job anyway
Stone. It’s not an agricultural product (so white ,plus all the other regulations to go with it.)

Know of a guy who modified artic trailer frame somehow ,to conceal a red diesel tank to run his unit off. All piped up you wouldn't know it was there.
Don't know if he ever got caught or still uses it , ingenious tho,
