The TFF farm standard. @Clive can’t we start our own? To keep the costs down farm inspections should be done by two of your neighbouring farmers who are also members of the scheme, let’s face it, no one is more critical of your methods of farming than them. We all know who’s doing the job properly and who isn’t. We all know the standards required as we’ve all had to comply with them up to now. Who’s in?
Like the war ag where your neighbours were handed the power to put you out of business?
I assume you jest

Totally agree. Or go the whole way and start a new farming union as the one we have is at best useless and at worst actually working against us

Be careful for two reasons:
1) we rely on imported GM soya
2) make imports compliant with RT and we have no advantage over them quality wise.

Importsthat are cheap and meet RT would be our worst nightmare.
Imports that are cheap but don’t meet RT are “inferior”.
I agree with what you say, but the problem is that the supermarket can put a Union Jack on a meat pie with "British beef" written next to it, but the rest can be made from cheep substandard imported material and the consumer is hoodwinked into thinking that it is all British, or has to knowingly accept the compromise.

Going to be an interesting first RT AFS Board meeting for @Guy Smith I wonder if the Board will call for a vote of no confidence in the Chair.
Good luck getting a decent answer from Guy about this on here, I like the chap but as far as I can see on the last few threads he has been on all he does is seek to cause an argument and not answer anything properly

In fairness to him this will be difficult as the new boy on the block.

Be REALLY interested to hear who is saying that our local County Whats App group already calling for her head. But we are just part of the awkward South West 🤣🤣
Good on them if they are.... if the NFU are objecting to it then they need 59 speak up very strongly.......will they I doubt it !
Having resigned my membership with them I shouldn't really criticise them but it may be a good opportunity to get a bit of confidence back with the farming industry

No FA and pass the Governments Bill and we are on “sort of” a level playing field with the imports that would be allowable under the governments Ag Bill. Keep FA and pass the Lords bill and we will be on a level playing field. So what’s the answer?
