Here’s something to get your teeth into in your new role seeing as though you did nothing about it in your old one. Spot the fraud....

Oooh, my turn.
Market share is the root of all evil.
Govt fawning over the cartel in the time of Corona has proven, if it needed proving, that Tesco et al are 'too big to fail'. Any economy that allows private sector enterprise to be 'too big to fail' is in need of structural reform.
Stop moaning. Do something about it.

I read the title of this thread and keep reading the name as 'bacon' not 'Tacon'. Am I alone in this or it is early onset Alzheimer's brought on by overconsuming pork products?
No you're not alone with that ....., I think the same when it catches my eye :banghead:

But theres worse, then I'm away in my mind and .... thinking ' I wonder if her husband is called Kevin' 🤪:hilarious::rolleyes:

tescos and their supplier are at fault.....not RT on this occasion .....of course their reaction will be proportionate to their 'spine'

RT has to offer membership to beyond these shores......if they meet the standards they're entitled to use the logo but not with the union jack bit
Im up for the job of Farm assurance/Rt checks in Barbados.....

Like most things EU, the labeling laws have a hole you can march coach and horses through. The ' Place of Provenance ' conveniently allows for food to change nationality if it's from "the country where the product last underwent substantial, economically justified processing. " However, the law on labeling is supposed to protect the buyers from being misled, so the " Country of Origin " should be clear to the buyer, which is usually somewhere in small print to tick the box.

The whole thing is a sham and con, has been for years.

As above. The EU state which adds last provenance, can label the product.

And it also throws up (as many times before ) that Red Tractor is a STANDARD of the product, not a guarantee of it being GB produced. And other countries can apply and pay, for inspection. When I last asked, a few years ago, I was assured that no country had applied.
That may, or may not still be the case.
