My letter to the Farmers weekly which was published today was edited which is annoying.

I said specifically said that the NFU appear either unable to lead or influence their own scheme, or potentially even more perplexing - ignored. And it didn't get published.

So keep the pressure up everyone because it appears fine to call a fellow farmer a "backstabber" but seemingly not fine to criticise a political union for being unable to influence their own scheme. KEEP THE PRESSURE UP
Don't worry, we will. Just getting warmed up at the moment ;)

RT has gone from checking legalities of farm assurance to an all encompassing and burdensome going on to become a licence to farm, I we ashould farmers can't market our products with out being a member this is not correct in a free society. There is no other assurance scheme to cover lots situatons so therfore it is a monopoly which I would think is vering on illegal or is. Going on to imported grains and feedstuffs, egg USDDG PALMKERNAL from say Indonesia soya from BRAZIL and products from all over the world come to uk .Theye are only assured from the store where they came from not from a farm audit so are not assured. As an s dairy farmer now growing grain how can concentrates be assured as uk grains are. These feeds are fed to dairy cattle manny of these ingredients will nevere been tested for goodness knows what the milk from this is going into the food chain BSE could be a sniff if something extraordinary ordinary turned up. We had a cow die of anthrax the only place we think it could come from was the compound feeds .I do hope you take this on board. If uk grain is prodiced to legalet requirements it is farm asoured that is it . We don't want gold plating. The assurance schemes can be make or brake for a farmer business.

Just my thoughts.

Any responses NFU ect about what if anything is going to be done to stop rt?
I am not in either now but would be willing to donate (am a very small scale farmer) to a class action against rt. (I know rt should be in capitals but I feel so disgusted with them they do not deserve it)

All this shouting been going on since January about getting rid of red tractor, now it’s slowly getting quiet from unhappy farmers, I bet red tractor are quietly smiling to them selves that they have got away with it again. I’ve had to rejoin again against my will but my merchants won’t buy none assured.
it’s about time we took legal advice because no way can it be a fair system when imports come in with no farm Assurance . I would bet a court/ barrister would have been in our favour , to me it’s illegal when the mills are in the same bed as red tractor and won’t accept my non assured grain .
let’s chuck money in a pot and do what’s right.
large businesses aren’t allowed to buy other large businesses without being passed with the adjudicators because of controlling markets prices etc ?.
please feel free to say I’m wrong but this my thoughts on this it immoral .

Its going to topple but it needs time.

But next time you hear the words "level playing field" from any NFU statement make sure they are aware that they don't even want a level playing field in their own country - they want to hand an advantage to imports. That is what the leader of the NFU is advocating, aiding and abetting at the moment, especially in the grain trade.

Did you renew because you had grain to sell now? If you don't have any grain to sell until after harvest etc then why not hold back your renewal until then?

Could always sell to a merchant that will take it. There are quite a few of them around, growing by the week.

As a valued client of SAI Global, we are writing to inform you that, on 13 May 2021 we entered into an agreement with Intertek to acquire 100% ownership of SAI Global Standards and Assurance Services.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval which is expected to take 6-8 weeks, during which time we will be preparing for a smooth and seamless transition.

Headquartered in London, Intertek is a leading provider of Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) services. Through its global network of state-of-the-art facilities and expertise, Intertek delivers services in 80+ languages and conducts over 100,000 audits each year. With the addition of Intertek’s capabilities, along with your SAI Global Standards and Assurance Services, you will have access to a comprehensive suite of solutions across the full assurance lifecycle.

I am very excited about this next chapter of the SAI Global journey and look forward to working together with Intertek to better serve the ATIC industry. This transaction will bring meaningful benefits to our Standards and Assurance clients and partners as we combine the expertise, experience, products, and capabilities of our two companies.

André Lacroix, CEO of Intertek, shares this same enthusiasm for the future of our combined companies. Please see his statement below:

“I am so pleased to be welcoming you to our Intertek family very soon. The expertise of SAI Global Assurance combined with Intertek Business Assurance really is a winning combination. Together, we have an excellent technical and strategic fit with our services to position us for growth in the years ahead. This is an exciting business move for both companies, all the people involved, and of course our customers. I greatly look forward to working with you.”

Next Steps
Please be assured that it will be “business as usual” for SAI Global during this transition. Our Standards and Assurance division operates as a standalone business within the SAI Global group, so there will be minimal impact to you during this separation.

Throughout the transition, your account will continue to be led by the SAI Global regional management team, who will work closely with Intertek to ensure you experience the same quality and reliability that you have come to expect from SAI Global.

If you have any questions at all about this transaction, please contact [email protected]

Kind regards

I will never have SAI or whatever they are called on my farm again, the last inspector who came here was a waste of space who wasn’t going to leave until he could find something to fail us on.

A change of milk processor means red tractor inspection is now NSF, so far so good. But still not happy with the waste of time that is uploading a million documents

Don't worry the WOKE revolution is well under way across the West.

RT, the quangos and all those minority groups have their days numbered. People and politicians have started to get real.

Can't elaborate other than Grain merchants I've been talking to are already well underway for preparing a market for non RT wheat. They are all concerned about the wave of non RT soon to be offered up from farmers and thinking up ways around it...eg simple Gatekeeper certification. They see RT as sham and don't want to miss out on the big offering which is coming sooner rather than later.
Day of freedom from all this crap is not too far off.
