I mentioned to the financial guy that I was unlikely to invest with him because the NFU seem to be against farmers when I feel they should be supporting them and he was a bit sharp and couldn't end the conversation quickly enough. Whether he's heard it all before I'm not sure.
Interesting...

I will be getting the usual annual call before long apopros pension and investments. Might call him out on it this time....

My Renewal pack arrived last week and is sitting on the side. However, the DD was cancelled months ago!

Same here
I'd write over top of it in big letters "Not re-joining NFU until you rein in RT, and get market access equality for UK grain. And I'm also going to tell all my mates to do the same."

Photocopy it and send it to renewals, group sec, county chair, top people, etc.

Spoke to our group sec day before yesterday and said I wasn't re-joining until we got a result. My NFU subs were currently being used on the RT fees.

Had nfu out last week to revue insurance.I mentioned red tractor and nfu being involved but the person did not seem bothered and knew very little about it either.I also mentioned the farmer members were leaving en mass too due to lack of support over rt but again not really concerned.

Wow have you seen how many directors are employed by red tractor!

And clearly states on the website that farmers pay for the admin!

sounds like jobs for the boys! the bare faced cheek using our money for all that top heavy management, no wonder there in such a poor state and have had to resort to taking money off farmers and giving nothing back!

Sadly they can and did argue with the one that was stuck on previously and it had to be rectified within 28 days or we'd be suspended. This is the new one I made. I tried to argue that this sign would be just as permanent as a plastic one (which would fade and weather just the same as this) and that this was cheaper for us and much better for the environment but it was a waste of time. All I got was "computer says no".
When I asked why couldn't the email have rejecting my sign have details suggesting where I could buy a sign the reply was "we don't want to make things too easy for you" :(
Only just seen this, what an absolute disgrace! I would ask them to show me exactly where it says what materials signs need to be made from. There needs to be an independent appeals process (well the whole thing needs getting rid of) so that a farm can’t be shut down on one person’s over enthusiastic interpretation of the rules. I have no words rude enough for this jumped up poxy irrelevant illegal institution.

That's owned by the Nfu. It beggars belief.

Completely finished with NFU & NFU Mutual as of midnight tonight after been with them for Three Generation's.
I wonder if NFU will take note. I hope they listen and help make some changes. Our industry is stronger if it's not fragmented.

Lots seem to have resigned their membership over RT. Surely NFU can't ignore this any longer.

All being well, tomorrow I'm having a meeting about this with NFU Vice Chair.

Any messages to pass on as to why you've left the NFU?

Simple,
1. The NFU need to attack this constant berating of red meat production. Plenty of science available to show the difference between animal emissions and fossil fuel emissions. There is too much confusion between the two.
2. Detail on future farm support ( if any), announcing various schemes without financial detail is futile.
3. NFU need to reign in the protection racket that is farm assurance, all we want is a level playing field with imports.
4.The NFU needs to be told their softly softly cosying up to ministers style of influencing is not working with this government. They are openly hostile to UK agriculture and need to be told about the importance of our industry. If they get no joy ( which is the most likely scenario) then use some of their millions to promote/advertise/pr this industry and attack/embarrrass this government into major policy changes before it is too late.

Realistically though he will give you the party line and do f**k all about the issues thats coming down the line. All these years of EU support didnt come from nowhere, French farmers protested and rioted it into CAP policy.
NFU inaction is why I am no longer a member after 35 years.

taken from pig word magazine must have asked the Nfu top executives the question View attachment 995637

4 out of 5 people actively look for RT logo?

I really do not beleive that 😡
How can 80% Actively looking for it when, from his own statistics, only 75% of “primary” shoppers are even familiar with it. Mosley simply not telling the truth, always struck me as a slimy salesman.
