Red tractor posted a infographic attacking New Zealand Lamb onto twitter, which they have punched back with a revised version of their own
Turns out red tractor got most of it wrong.
Is attacking the competitors the way forward?
Personally I’m quite sick of hearing about how awful these foreign farmers are from RT and NFU.

Hmmm..... Travel over 8 hours is " Unusual ". Seems like the opposition is being economical with the truth.
Plenty of criticism that RT don't do anything. Well at least they've tried to do something........

Better no farm assurance at all, but never mind.
When I worked there, there was, and prob still is holding yards on the outskirts of most towns where the animals were unloaded during consolidation of loads or overnight. Most of the larger towns had larger holding yards with wash down facilities for the trucks too. There was also something about drivers not being allowed to sleep out in their cabs.
Impression I got was it was fairly tightly regulated 20yr ago and I wouldn’t of thought the regs would’ve slackened off any.

NZ production I think would have a considerably lower co2 footprint than here, flip side is that’s because it relies more on nature and nurture than intervention, so would appear more brutal to our countryfile orientated consumers who like cuddles in the lambing shed. We can’t just compost dead animals in a pile of wood shavings in a field here for example.

The kiwis are very good at what they do, RT have picked on the wrong people here.

Embarrassing
