Why don’t we try them out.... write to the red tractor flour producers and ask them presisely which farmers wheat is in the flour bag
Found one! I don't do twitter but found if you want to publicly lay down the challenge.... Lidl's Belake Strong White Bread Flour Code is GWE0113 lets see the single grain passport that relates to that single bag of flour please.... Perhaps it is true, maybe Lidl really can match a batch of flour to a grain passport..... and maybe the other producers above mix and blend loads knowing that such pack traceability is without commercial value and also with the knowlege that having a British flag on the pack is of equal marketing value regardless if it has or has not a Red Tractor above it.....

You need to get to the bag in your hot little hand otherwise they will withdrew the product.

Can we not between us compose the same, "They can't refuse to be wrong or tell porkies" Question and hit them with it via email or Social Media quoting the Smokey Red Tractor.

There is no possible way a pack of flour can be traced back to the farm - this is an utter 100% provable lie - ASA should fine them for this false advertising

that's before we consider that basically no flour of bakery product carries the red tractor logo anyway and that most flour and bakery products contain imported ingredients

Meanwhile, the NFU and AHBD support and provide credibility to these liars ................ frankly how can we trust them at all on that basis ?
Are you going to write an official complaint to ASA ?
Plz do, then post a template here so more can do the same

I don't think any of those companies use the Red Tractor label on their packaging do they?
Which given many of these are 100% British produce, again goes seems to show what little commercial value millers place in the RT logo....

Its on my desk, phone battery flat else I would have uploaded a photo....

They must be fools. Social media is full of shyte even posting on twitter is devaluing the value of the RT brand. They should steer clear of the internet.
They are fools, desperate ones at that as they have been found to be liars and con artists!

they make lots of claims on social media but when pressed for more info they go all vague like a politician or no comment like a guilty crook.

As I've said before, why would a company put a generic red tractor logo on their bag when all their competitors are using the same stuff? I bet they have to pay to use the logo as well. It provides no marketing advantage and no premium in the marketplace. It is worthless to them.

I just checked my three bags of Tesco flour (self raising, plain and strong) and all have the red tractor logo on the side. There is only a bar code on the base of the bag to identify it, but whether this shows just the price and nothing else is just a guess. I will be the elderly housewife being impressed that the flour can be traced back to the field, and ask where it came from. I will let you know...

The bar code used to scan the product at the till will almost certainly not carry any trackability code.

Lidle bag I have does carry a code, is that traceable to a specific grain passport, maybe though its likely there will be a blend of grain in there...

yes I couldn’t see why anyone would pay rt to use there logo. Easier to stick a Union Jack on it which costs nowt!
