Red Tractor - Mass Balance

Had one plonker do a inspection here and in doors after the walk around the farms said surprisingly at the end of the meeting we had one non compliance, and no grain could leave until fixed, one cattle building had some crap against it that rats could hide in, no evidence of rats though, I argued my point but he would not budge, so I called his office and they tried to back him up saying rats can travel quite a distance from cattle sheds to a grain store, they did however lift the non compliance for the grain but kept it on the beef when I pointed out the offending beef building was 3.5 mile from any of my grain stores, he was not happy when he left.

Because the bloke that came here could put his "bic" biro in the damaged gap and riggle it and claim a mouse could force entry.
If the only route for a mouse into your shed is though one biro sized hole in the door that must just about be the best vermin proofed, air tight shed in the country! Probably be wise to check the CO2 levels each time before entering that store!

To be fair, a rat could have got through our gap sideways
totally forgot about it before she came
However she wasn`t bothered about the gap between the sheets and the walls all around the shed
Reckoned vermin wouldn`t climb the walls :ROFLMAO:

Well it turned out, all she wanted to see was that we were recording roughly what each field was yielding.
Showed her the trailer tally that wife keeps in the tractor and it was enough to tick the box
Wasn`t interested in actual figures.
1 non compliance, bent sheet on grain store door where wife twatted it with loader
We had our RT inspection yesterday as well, our inspector was similarly happy with our tally system.
Our non conformance was not to have our trailers numbered etc, this is the first time in years that we have taken anything off farm in a trailer!
Oh well, could be worse.

You’ll remember next year to tell them you don’t ever take anything off farm yourselves.
