And then they only give out 1/3 the stickers you actually need!
You can have some of mine I always get 2 sheets and sell 12 loads at most
Obs only use my stickers for the decent stuff
Bg
And then they only give out 1/3 the stickers you actually need!
You have plenty of time to do this and feel perfectly happy to share it far then I take it? What do you dislike telling them?Personally I can't see what the problem is. We all know what we have in stock anyway, and so do the trade. The accuracy of the average farmers guess is hardly accurate enough to change markets is it.
I'd rather tell them my mass balance calculation than some of the other sh1t they want.
Print some more off.And then they only give out 1/3 the stickers you actually need!
I don’t have a weigh bridge . And I can’t afford one. Don’t tell the accountant or bank manager fudge all, none of their business either. I’m afraid you sound somewhat like blenky, miles away from the reality of small family farms. And like blenky I’m sure you I could have a perfectly nice drink with you please don’t think I’m having a go at you personally. We just have different points of view. At least you are a NFU member who is engaging.we weigh every load in, field by field. I know what we have in store, I keep a tab on every load we sell which is weighed out, that weight checked against mill/merchant weight to check my leg wasn't lifted or a 'clerical error'
What the fudge do the rest of you do?? keep selling it until its all gone then say "Its all gone". What do you tell the bank manager or accountant? "Well we have a heap or two go and look yourself"? FFS.
You must have some idea. What do you do when the missus says shall we book a holiday? Say "We'll have to wait to see how much grain we sell 'cause I don't know if it was a good harvest or a bad one yet"
I think someone is missing the point! It's not that we can't quantify yeild, it's that it's none of their f' ecking business if I've got 1000 ton of wheat this harvest or 3ooo ton.we weigh every load in, field by field. Cancelled mine 20 odd years ago when this was first foisted upon us. I’m at a loss to know why anyone’s still in it .What if we all cancelled our Direct debits for NFU subs to start with. Could always restart DD's if NFU are starting to listen.
I can't argue against a word of that, as it's good business. Question is though - if you didn't do it would your grain be any less wholesome for your customer?we weigh every load in, field by field. I do a year end stocktake. But that’s just a snapshot not a constant running total and I don’t give him grain types just £. I know this sh!t or I would be bust very quickly but I have better things to do wanking about making it all add up for inspector. It’s another pointless not profitable use of my time. It’s like the whole red tractor thing that people who are pro it just don’t get. The person with the biggest interest in making sure my grain isn’t rejected for rodent or insect contamination is me. how I achieve it should be my business not some jobs worth who wants to know every time I opened the shed door. And if an insect is found it’s no defence to say but my RT records are perfect. A rejection is a rejection.Don't you do a year end stocktake? How does your accountant do your accounts if you don't tell him anything?
How much time does it take to do a volumetric assessment of your grain heap/bin and count up a few collection notes, does it matter how big a farm you are?
My grain sales are my farming income, I want to know whats what.
Small livestock farmers count their livestock daily do they not? small crop farmers only have to count their grain once a year.
As I said in an earlier post - I would rather give RT a mass balance that I have anyway, even if I massage the figures, than some of the other pointless sh!t they want. As someone said earlier, introduce this and remove something else.
Of course not, and I do my best to provide full spec milling wheat and malting barley for my customer.I can't argue against a word of that, as it's good business. Question is though - if you didn't do it would your grain be any less wholesome for your customer?

But why should I?Why would you make it up for an inspector when you know what you have?
Either you have the figures as a well run business, or you don't and you make it up for the inspector. Simples. Either is pretty easy and can be done in a few minutes.
If you want to get like that I can’t believe you are suggesting that I make it upWhy would you make it up for an inspector when you know what you have?

Edit: I can't believe I am even having this conversation. Even the man's accountant doesn't insist on some clarity.
I don't disagree, but those are the EU rules for biofuels. Blame them.I think someone is missing the point! It's not that we can't quantify yeild, it's that it's none of their f' ecking business if I've got 1000 ton of wheat this harvest or 3ooo ton.
Your accountant?I know what’s in my bank account……doesn’t mean I’m prepared to tell anyone else that info though.
